Why Liz

I’ve got a track record of public service and successful business management, and am now running to be the Milwaukee County Comptroller, making sure our public dollars are spent wisely and in compliance with the law.

As an elected official, I have served on the Fox Point Village Board and the Milwaukee County Board, providing me with a unique blend of municipal and county perspectives on financial matters. As the Chair of the County Finance Committee, I've been able to build strong relationships with department heads and comptroller staff, ensuring a smooth transition into the Comptroller role.

My experience as a small business owner further underscores my competence. For 15 years, I have managed SHOP, a women’s clothing and accessories store in Shorewood, honing my financial management skills in the process.

Moreover, my educational background aligns perfectly with the requirements of the Comptroller’s office. I earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with concentrations in finance and strategy – precisely the skills needed to guide the county through looming fiscal challenges.

As a relationship builder, a compassionate yet demanding leader, and as a community advocate, I have shown unwavering commitment to the fiscal health of Milwaukee County. My approach to leadership, deep-rooted connections, and relevant experience uniquely position me to serve as Milwaukee County Comptroller.

I hope to earn your support!
